MMXII 38:: EDITING A PHOTO-A-DAY IN 2012

MMXII::38::AFTER
I had another edit that I had finished earlier this evening that I really liked, but somehow from the time I sat down for dinner, walked the dogs, cleaned the kitchen and came back to the computer it had disappeared--poof! The original edit was a jellyfish and even though it was black and white the water looked deep and inky to to me. I was a little annoyed (okay, the top of my head popped off and steam came out).  This edit although a bit less spectacular actually fits the mood of the day. It was dark, gloomy and a tad ominous. This feels a little 'Poe' to me even though this bird is less foreboding than a crow. I think it's a Titmouse which has got to be the worse name ever. If your name is Titmouse and I just offended you my apologies.

I used a new action from my friend Bill at The Photo Argus (one of my fave photography resource sites). Bill launched Union Actions and this is his Toy Camera  Photoshop action (completely editable). I'll let you know more about them soon, but let's suffice to say that Bill and his Union actions saved the day and kept me from playing in traffic for one more evening, phew!

I will be editing a photo a day for the remainder of 2012::Project MMXII, this is my 'after', you can view the 'before' here.

I thought about Edgar Allen Poe right before I read what you wrote. Eerily beautiful..

Who knew a Titmouse would be so eerie?

They are actually really sweet:
