NEW! FAUX WAX SEAL STAMP + A GIVEAWAY

Happy Monday!  I am so thrilled to be back, last week was like an odd space + time continuum.  It seemed since our Independence day fell on a Wednesday the entire world decided to throw caution to the wind and take the entire week off.  I considered it, but I know myself too well, time off is a slippery slope for me, one day off and I am eating the entire refrigerator contents of life and not exercising thus suffering the consequences of gluttony and moving swiftly into sloth.  I need a solid schedule and place to be or else I might as well be a girl gone wild.  Most people would find a schedule constricting I find it liberating.  I was feeling extra creative last week as it was crickets here and at the shop, there was not much for me to do but stare out my window at the pond and look for baby bunnies on my property. I did indulge in my calligraphy class and tried in vain to learn Wordpress over a 4 day period. I need more days; I am not as smart as I look.  As I was packing prizes and getting ready to announce more winners (plenty more this week!)  I was looking at my double initial seal and thought there should be a stamp that looked a bit more like an actual wax seal and promptly went to work creating one.  It seems my stamp factory was busy doing nada as well as they sent me back my design in a day--a day?!  I am so pleased with the results.  I used an italicized version of an Anthropologie-type font for the initial, which I feel keeps this design from being too stiff & serious.  I am considering trying different fonts which is where you come in of course. This wasn't on the roster for the giveaway but it's here now and I would love to do a couple custom wax seal stamps with different font variations.  The catch?  I want to do them sooner than later patience is not my virtue.  So for this Monday morn if you would like to try to win a version of this stamp (with an alternate unknown font), please leave a comment with the initial you would like and what you would use this for.

If you are like me and can't wait feel free to stop by the shop and pick up your wax seal stamp and use the code WAXSEAL to get it for 1/2 off this week.  I will choose a winner tomorrow, yes tomorrow and will announce said winner(s) as soon as the sample stamps arrive!  How is that for almost instant gratification?

This week is going to be amazing, pinky promise.  Besides the giveaways, I am doing some cool d.i.y.  I am thinking of doing a 'Craft Camp' for the rest of the summer and I do hope you join me and of course I haven't forgotten your tutorials on product photography so stick with me this week it will be a good one.

Oh what a wonderful contest, again! ;) And beeing on the other side of the Atlantic gives me the chance to meet the "early" challenge.

The initial: A for Anna
Purpose: To "seal" all my handwritten notes and letters, I simply will not let the skill of writing by hand be lost.

BTW just love, love, LOVE your blogg.

Ooh, it's lovely!

K for Kellie, natch, and I would use it at the top of my stationery and the backs of my envelopes for all that snail mail I vow to send!

Lynne (July 9, 2012 at 5:59 AM)

If I win, I would choose the letter L for Lynne and Lavender.

I would make little tags with a fine twine or hemp. I would also wrap and tag my lavender bundles.

I have made tags with your "labels" in the past.

Woohooo, I am so excited - I missed your first give away and this is almost just too perfect now - it's going to be the wedding of my boys brother and we are the creative part for decoration and all that jazz.

For the "thank you cards" after the big bang the stamp would be the BEST. Can you also do a C&T or C+T - standing for Claudi and Tino.

Hope the early bird cathes the worm.
Keep rockin' the graphics and we were so with you with this "clients who know not what they want" postcard thing.

This stamp is so cute!
I'd choose the letter L for Lilly (my nickname) and I'd use it on cards for my family.
Thanks for the giveaway! Have a nice week.

Summer (July 9, 2012 at 7:41 AM)

Oh I love this one. I'd love to have an S for Summer and I'd use it to stamp envelopes, cards, labels for bags of baked goodies... I'm sure there are lots of things out there to stamp!

sookhyun (July 9, 2012 at 8:49 AM)

Yay! I'd love to receive an "S" for Susan. I would use this stamp as the background for the return address area of an envelope. I would ink the stamp with a light red, then write my address over it in black - a neat contrast. Then to match, I'd use the stamp on the bottom of my blank stationary. I hope to win! And thank you for sharing your creativity :)

Beth C –  (July 9, 2012 at 9:29 AM)

Simply lovely!!

I would want a "C" (and i, personally, love this font...), and I use it to put on my new address announcements!

Diana Hulme (July 9, 2012 at 9:46 AM)

How lovely! This is a great stamp. I was so bummed to miss your first giveaway. I'd love an "H" for our last name...I think these would be the perfect thing to complete our Christmas gifts this year. And of course, stationery, envelopes, etc. xoxo!

Wow, ladies, it's so nice to have you all back! I was beginning to think I was writing to myself here. I love all your creativity here, so much fun, good luck!

karm (July 9, 2012 at 10:35 AM)

a "K" would be wonderful!

Danielle (July 9, 2012 at 12:20 PM)

So awesome! D for Danielle & I would use it to seal all my handmade cards/envelopes. Would eventually use it on thank you tags for my business when I get it up & running. Thanks!

Just received my graduation present name stamp--thanks! Carson Paige is going to love it, I am sure. I would love to add to my personal stamp collection (I have a personal name stamp, too!). Which would lend itself more readily to a faux wax seal stamp--an M, or a P?

Kelli Oglesby (July 9, 2012 at 12:59 PM)

Beautiful! I would like to have an O for my last initial, to personalize stationery and next to return addresses. Thank you so much for putting in the time to design -and give away!- such gorgeous items.

Kathy Campbell (July 9, 2012 at 1:08 PM)

Love it!!

And you don't have to do Wordpress alone!

I'd get a C for my name. I'd definitely be stamping this on every piece of mail I send. Maybe even make a whole stationery set just to have a stack on hand when the desire to snail mail strikes! daydreamincolor(at)gmail(dot)com

Sew a Fine Seam (July 9, 2012 at 1:41 PM)

I LOVE this! I want an 'F'. I would use it for everything since it is the initial of or last name and since I have the word 'Fine' in my business name!!

melliemel4444 (July 9, 2012 at 3:21 PM)

Yayeeeeee for beautiful stamps!!!!

My initial would be W for our last name, Walter (I love that I married into a first name for a last name!)...although I STILL haven't technically changed my name (lay-Z) but that's okay because my maiden name is Weiss. HOWEVER...the multi-uses don't stop there, my first name is Mel so I can simply turn that puppy around and BAM that works too! 3 uses in one...talk about recycling!

As far as where I will use it, we are renting our place so I guess I'll refrain from stamping our walls. *pout* Other possible spots would be to fancify paper goods for all the summer bbqs we're hosting and stampin' the ol' rent check to the landlord (although that may make it seem like we are fancier and more well-to-do than we are and she'll want to raise our rent...blah). Needless to say I'm sure my husband will be questioning why I'm stamping the leftover boxes in the fridge and other assorted random items through out the house.

Beautiful design! Awesome giveaway!

Love your new stamp! I would use it on my hand made stationary, envelopes and gift tags for all my friends/family. My chosen initial would be S for both my first and last name. I could use it for myself or a family seal :)

Catherine (July 9, 2012 at 4:21 PM)

Miss B, hope I'm not too late! This stamp is just so beautiful, I would love it in "G" - for Goron (my last name)... and would use it for all the handwritten notes and cards sent to family and friends in the US and France, but I would also use it to stamp simple Fabriano papers I have to make gift tags ... fingers crossed!!

Jennie (July 9, 2012 at 9:48 PM)

It's actually my birthday today and I would love a "C" (for Campos, my last name) stamp for personal correspondence! I still love sending cards and letters via snail mail, but honestly I would probably stamp EVERYTHING if I got my little hands on it! :)

Merissa Revestir (July 10, 2012 at 6:13 AM)

Yikes, I missed this, I was at work :( anyhoots, the 'craft camp' sounds awesome! Please do dish more on this!

Amy (July 10, 2012 at 8:00 AM)

Say, I love it! I was just thinking perhaps I should invest in a stamp. I will use any excuse to use my personal wax seal; but I'm afraid in these temps the wax would melt right off--then crazed postal employees would be hunting me down, cursing my name. Let's face it, that's never good . . .

I am honored + thrilled that you are leaving me a note! Please know your sweet thoughts are always welcomed and greatly appreciated.
