LUXE CORRESPONDENCE SET GIVEAWAY!

I wasn't planning on doing two giveaways in one week, but fate has it that the Universe has smiled kindly on me and given me the ultimate in write ups, (on par with an Oprah mention), a small write-up in the venerable Daily Candy Everywhere edition!  My inbox has been flooded with nice notes, orders from around the globe and garnered me a high-five from my naughty Frenchie (she's very supportive). In order to spread the good will I am going to be giving away one of the Luxe Correspondence Sets. I mentioned yesterday that it is one of my favorites in the shop. If you would like to know exactly what is in it, you can read the details here. For someone that just quit her job to go off on their own, this nice gesture from DC is such a completely delightful surprise, thoroughly appreciated and the timing couldn't have been better. I am grateful.

So please join me in celebrating this momentous day by entering to win the set. Just leave a comment and let me know why you would like this set, you will have until Thursday, February 23, 2012, 11:59 p.m. Pacific to enter. I will choose my favorite answer  and announce the winner on Friday, February 24, 2012. This contest is open worldwide! Thank you Daily Candy!

P.S. Don't forget about the Natural History prints giveaway. Here's the details.

Jess (February 16, 2012 at 3:24 PM)

Wow! What a wonderful giveaway. I really love sending snail mail and I've always admired your correspondence sets, but I unfortunately can't afford such a luxurious item. None of my close friends live near me now - we're all spread out over the country - and I would love to send them some more tangible mail.

Pati (February 16, 2012 at 3:30 PM)

First of all congratulations on being featured in Daily Candy!
This giveaway came just in the right time for me! I have been studying abroad for a year and met so many wonderful friends from all around the world, with whom I would love to, and hope to, stay in touch with for years to come. And even though Internet always offers a quick way to catch up with them, I believe nothing can compare to send out letters to the wide world!

Danielle (February 16, 2012 at 3:53 PM)

I practically jumped out of my seat when I saw this giveaway! I want/need have-to-have this because I committed to 52 Weeks of Mail & am handmaking all my cards, to which this set would greatly complement my creations. Thanks & keeping my fingers crossed :)

Susannah (February 16, 2012 at 4:02 PM)

Congrats Miss B! That is huge! And awesome! And such wonderful news! This set is just so lovely...i'm a snail mail girl through and through and would love to add this to my stationery collection (which is mostly handmade!)

Mrs. P (February 16, 2012 at 4:11 PM)

AWesome and well deserved!

torrie –  (February 16, 2012 at 4:59 PM)

i will tell you a few reasons why i would LOVE this set:

No. 1 and most importantly: i believe in handwritten letters

No. 2: i just learned recently that children are not even being taught how to write in cursive any longer! i vow that when i have children, i will teach them cursive!

No. 3: ever since my wedding which was in 2010, i've fallen in love with typography and handwritten letters and have been handwriting birthday cards and thank you notes to anyone and everyone i possibly can. including the all important addressing of the envelope which is a whole 'nother joy for me.

Emme @withlov3 (February 16, 2012 at 5:39 PM)

Congratulations on the write up! Ever since I found out about you, I've been following you ever since. I just love the simplicity and clean look of your work. If I had more money, I think I would buy everything in your shop. No kidding...

Having quit my job recently to pursue photography full-time, I know how you feel and I can definitely empathize with you.

Besides, I love stamps and all things stationary and your work is no exception.

I hope I win, I NEVER win anything!

Rachel (February 16, 2012 at 6:00 PM)

Congratulations, dear! (And well deserved - your aesthetic is spot on)

Muffin (February 16, 2012 at 6:29 PM)

Wonderful. Beautiful. Fabulous. Lovely. Gracious. Thank you for sharing. Many hand written notes to accompany this gift. My friends will thank you.

chia (February 16, 2012 at 6:47 PM)

i've always envied the beautiful calligraphy of your stamps! however, with my biology grad student salary, it's much too luxurious a purchase for me.. if i had the set, it will certainly add a touch of class to all the handwritten/vintage-typewriter-written letters and postcards that i often send back to my close friends and family in malaysia!

Sew a Fine Seam (February 16, 2012 at 6:51 PM)

Wow! I want that set because it is just so truly awesome! I want I want!! I love all your stuff - someday I WILL own some!

martha (February 16, 2012 at 6:53 PM)

Congratulations! What a gracious way to celebrate it. I moved across the country for grad school, and my entire family and old circle of friends is a continent away. I'm about to move again (almost done!), but sadly, it's not much closer to home. I miss them, and love receiving letters from them, but we all know that you must send in order to receive. It would be lovely to win this to help with my motivation. Cheers!

Julianna Collett (February 16, 2012 at 7:17 PM)

Oooooo this would be the perfect compliment to the ephemera I am collecting to correspond with my clients. they would make beautiful packages for my prints.

lovely bird (February 16, 2012 at 7:19 PM)

Oh my - I would LOVE LOVE LOVE this. I am trying to write to my 98-year-old Granny every week. She can no longer hear very well, so the phone is out, but she loves letters and pretty things!

Diana Hulme (February 16, 2012 at 8:37 PM)

Congratulations! :) I love this set, and have been looking for something similar as my 2012 goal is to remember people - listen, notice, appreciate, etc. I am trying to write heartfelt birthday cards and I think beautiful materials make all the difference! Crossing my fingers...

Lauren (February 16, 2012 at 10:40 PM)

What a great giveaway!

My attempt at convincing you why my life will not be complete without this set is pretty great... Two days ago, on Valentines, my love proposed! I am so excited and friends and family have already been so supportive that I need to start writing the thank-you letters pronto!

This set will enhance the wedding planning/ thank-you card writing process immensely.

I could die happy. Yes PLEASE and CONGRATS! Sherry B. of Florence (the one in Alabama).

Jess Jensen –  (February 17, 2012 at 1:01 AM)

Congratulations. I am a sucker for all your work so it doesn't actually surprise me in the least. Especially this Correspondence set. It has been sitting at the top of my hit list for quite a bit, mainly to remind me to I WILL mail personal birthday, congratulatory and get well soon notes to long lost friends and deeply missed family this entire year. (and every one to come).

Rustic Tarts (February 17, 2012 at 1:02 AM)

I would love to give this to my new "niece - in-law" as part of her 21st birthday present. She is such a wonderful addition to our family.

Coffee Rings (February 17, 2012 at 1:03 AM)

Would love this set to send thoughtful snail mail to loved ones. Beautiful as always

Ashley E –  (February 17, 2012 at 1:41 AM)

In January, my sister moved to LA and my best friend moved to Portland. (So happy for them!) This would be a wonderful way to remind them that Seattle isn't so far away.

Congratulations!

arealpip (February 17, 2012 at 6:15 AM)

I have recommitted to sending handwritten, personal notes, as part of my endeavour to stay connected with to loved and admired ones. We live half a world away from most of our family and friends and the distance and time difference mean that extra loving touch - with kind words and delightful stationery - signify a great deal. Thank you for sharing your artistry and whimsy.

Prairiecactus (February 17, 2012 at 11:20 AM)

Dear Miss B.
I have just found you via Crafty Mum in Changing Places. I had a wonderful time browsing that site and then jumped a link to your site. So glad that I did!
Writing to and getting mail from friends and family has been a huge part of my life for as many years as I have been married. We are a military family. We are retired now and live in the prairies of Kansas.
The dog's alerting bark at nearly noon and the clunk of my mail dropping into the box are two of the high points of my day.
The best of course is reading the news from near and far, hanging the new photos around my home and then sending a letter full of love back to the sender.
We have the internet and cell phones, but for me, the wonder of reading the hand written words of those I love will never fade. Here's to wishing the gift of the written word back into many more lives!
Oh! Congrats to you!

Jordan (February 17, 2012 at 3:58 PM)

What a lovely set! I used to write tons of letters...I had three steady penpals growing up and we sure made the letters fly! I'd love to start that back up again...growing up and getting married and having babies has made us all busy but sometimes it's nice to slow down and send/receive a handwritten letter!

LauraLee (February 17, 2012 at 4:37 PM)

Congratulations to you and how very thoughtful to give one of these handsome Luxe Correspondence Sets away! I would love to win this for my son Ryan whom is just recently out on his own and moving into his own home. It would be not only a lovely housewarming surprise but also an assurance that he may very well keep in touch more often if he had this setting out on his desk enticing him to use it. He loves to write and this would be just the perfect thing for him. Thank you so much!

paula (February 17, 2012 at 10:34 PM)

why wouldn't I want/love this set would be the better question? I am still such a fan of an old fashioned handwritten note. These would make it so much more special! Congratulations by the way. Much deserved.

Debi Sementelli (February 18, 2012 at 1:11 PM)

Big Congrats to you on the DC mention! You are officially a stationery rock star:)
Best,
Debi

Stacey (February 18, 2012 at 2:22 PM)

There is something very romantic, very personal about hand written letters. in our modern day internet era, They can be rare forms of communication but I still find them very charmimg. I would love to add these to my collection.

Michellem (February 18, 2012 at 9:47 PM)

A huge congratulations on your success and many hopes for your dreams to continue to come true! It is a brave move to quit your daytime job but that has afforded you even more success!! I'd love to win this amazing set because it would be fabulous!

Debra long –  (February 19, 2012 at 7:06 AM)

This Luxe set would be a wonderful addition to my stationary "wardrobe" - rather like having cashmere and silk in the drawer instead of wool and cotton! It is a delight to send a lovingly crafted card and time spent in the creative process is never wasted. The love/luxe in the box will pass into the writer's hand and onto the recipient. What joy! Thanks for your kind consideration of your appreciative readers.

Enney Pitter (February 19, 2012 at 6:23 PM)

what a joy it would be peeking out and seeing the postman stop his puttering scooter at our box and deliver this. i have only found you today after snooping via creature comforts and i can say you do make lovely thing and i have done some 'pinning' planning for the year ahead. congratulations and thank you for the chance to win.

Meaghan (February 21, 2012 at 8:22 AM)

My "resolution" for 2012 was to write more letters, specifically sending birthday cards, and so a set like this would come in handy. I would likely share with my mom who is a papercrafter and card maker. She uses a lot of the conventional, craft store kind of stamps and I like to broaden her horizons to the world of independently made delights such as yours. Thank you!

Lovely Lindsay (February 21, 2012 at 2:39 PM)

i would love to craft up a heartfelt note and send it off to someone i love using all of these tiny details.
+++
this set is perfection. your packaging alone is a treat in itself. i ordered a few tiny stamps to give as gifts over the holiday's and it was as much a gift for me to get them in the mail.
love, lindsay

Merissa Revestir (February 22, 2012 at 5:14 AM)

My snail mail would look ever so glamourous dressed up in this luxe correspondence set! Pen pals are all the rage now, well at least in my world (^•^) And this fabulous box would make a great display for all my writing supplies...and reason to organize them.
Confetti and applause to you for the great write ups!
xo from Hawaii.

Heather (February 22, 2012 at 2:28 PM)

Miss B.

I have always found writing a handwritten hello is much more personal and romantic. While my husband was away in Afganistan, he sent me the most sweetest {french} handwritten love notes. A handwritten letter can truly touch those and keep loved one's close even when far way.

Growing up I was very blessed to have been given a family that truly believes in tradition and a classic way of saying hello the "old fashioned way" with the use of a stamp. This elegant, luxe correspondence set is beyond a girls dream to continue something truly traditional and heart warming for generations to come.

Congratulations on your well-deserved success and
thank you so kindly for your swooning giveaway.

Xxoo Heather

Such a lovely set and gorgeous packaging! I would love to use these stamps in my letters because I've been learning calligraphy. I find handwriting and hand lettering so beautiful and inspiring that I had to learn to do it myself! I'm just starting off and so far, I haven't been that great at it but having lots of fun. I would love to use the stamps to enhance the letters I would send to my friends and to my boyfriend to show-off my (eventual) newly learned skill. :)
